Generative AI startup Countdn AI announced on the 26th that it has been officially selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ private investment-led technology startup support program, TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup).
This selection was made through the recommendation of New Paradigm Investment, an accelerator (AC) that made a seed investment in the company last November. With this, Countdn AI will receive up to 700 million KRW over the next two years, including 500 million KRW in R&D funding and 200 million KRW for overseas marketing and commercialization support.
Through its AI photo and video generation app “MeeAww,” Countdn AI has secured a cumulative 1.3 million global users, proving both the practicality and marketability of generative AI technology. MeeAww allows users to generate various styled portraits from just one selfie and is gaining positive feedback from creators and general users worldwide thanks to its advanced technology for maintaining character consistency (such as animation AI filters) and ease of use.
Countdn AI’s TIPS project is titled “Development of a Multimodal LLM-Based Content Generation AI Solution” and was recognized for its development potential and growth prospects in enhancing the precision and applicability of generative AI technology. Notably, the global generative AI image and video markets, valued at approximately 500 billion KRW and 76 trillion KRW in 2023 respectively, are projected to grow at annual average rates of 17.7% and 35.3%. By 2030, they are expected to reach around 1.5 trillion KRW and 63 trillion KRW, further underscoring the technological potential of Countdn AI.
Through this project, Countdn AI aims to build an “all-in-one AI generator” that encompasses text, images, and eventually video, accelerating the development of its proprietary models. The company aspires to establish core infrastructure for the next-generation AI-driven creative ecosystem by offering differentiated performance, security, and customized functions compared to existing open models.
At the heart of the project is a multimodal LLM architecture that can process and integrate diverse inputs such as text and images. By effectively extracting features from each data type and combining them, the system can generate a wide variety of creative outputs, including not only images but also videos.
The company is particularly focused on advancing its technology for maintaining the appearance, style, and personality of AI-generated characters consistently across different scenes and poses, maximizing immersion in storytelling and brand content. Ultimately, all of these features will be made available externally through the MeeAww API service, enabling companies and creators to easily leverage high-performance multimodal generative AI technology.

Meanwhile, Countdn AI was also selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “2025 Google Changgu Program.” Going forward, the company plans to link with the “Google Global AI First Accelerator Program” to strengthen overseas market entry and local networking, form strategic partnerships with AI content partners in different countries, and expand its global AI business through more concrete and actionable collaborations.
